When should you replace your tyre?

Hey DUO member, you should consider replacing your tyre(s) if:

• The tyre’s tread depth is less than 2 mm.
• The tyre has been slipping, especially on wet roads.
• The tyre has scratches or cracks.
• Your car’s ride quality or fuel economy has become poorer.

Tyres are the only point of contact between the car and the road. They have a major influence on the car's safety and driveability.

Tyre problems can lead to punctures and other problems that can cause serious accidents.

It is therefore recommended to inspect your car’s tyres periodically. If there is any visible perforation, cut or deformation, please call our breakdown assistance hotline immediately for advice.
